Our tour representative meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel. After you check in, freshen up and take a walk. Moscow has more than 50 parks and forests and 700 boulevards and gardens.

After breakfast, visit Red Square, the State Historical Museum, St Basil's Cathedral and the Lenin Mausoleum. See the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, New Maiden's Convent and Moscow State University. Drive along the Moskvoretskaya Embankment for views of the Kremlin, then go up to Sparrow Hills for a view of the whole city. Other stops include Victory Park, Poklonnaya Hill, Tverskaya Street, Manezhnaya Square and New Arbat Avenue.

After breakfast, tour the Moscow Metro, whose stations look like underground palaces. Stops include Komsomolskaya, Mayakovskaya, Novokuznetskaya, Ploshchad Revolyutsii and Kropotkinskaya. In the afternoon, board the train to St Petersburg and check in at your hotel.

Explore Saint Isaac's Cathedral, Alexander Nevsky Lavra, the Peter and Paul Fortress, Peterhof, Pavlovsk Palace, Yusupov Palace and Catherine Palace.

Spend the day at the Hermitage State Museum, founded in 1764. After lunch, visit a flea market and return to your hotel in the evening.
